CCSAR is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives support from private donors, foundations and corporations. Its volunteers contribute their time and pay their own expenses, including care and maintenance of their canine partner. CCSAR is a partner agency of United Way of the Capital Area, meeting United Way’s high standards for management, fiscal responsibility, and service delivery. This enables us to receive funds from those who choose to make a designation to CCSAR when they make their United Way Community Campaign contribution. We do not receive United Way Community Investment dollars.
